I love photography I love how you can zone in on detail and create a sense of emotion that feels parallel with existence. Blue bells was a photography project that I was exploring in the spring of 2017. Capturing nature in a natural appearance of colours and texture whist adding man made elements of composition. My self portrait project coincided with “bluebells”. The flower hides its self looking downward in a droop I felt a sense of vulnerability coming from the bluebells. The organic action of compositing my self portraits lead me to start to emulate the compositions of the bluebells unintentionally.

The late summers days have arrived, the rosemary has bloomed and the air has become lighter. We have come full circle. The growth in the landscape is showing so we start to reflect on the past seasons gone by. Perished by time the memories have faded and what is left are the crisp dark brown leaves and soft mustard coloured lemons. But with perish their needs to be growth. Growth is found in the trees, the flowers and the expansive meadows, but my growth has been found in a new respect for patiences. With patience comes appreciation, the feeling of accomplishment, and the notice of the change in my growth

Here are some photos taken on 35mm film that round up the last 2 months of my final year of uni. There was a lot of running around, trips to and from uni and the art shops. I captured the colours of crisp white skies amongst the saturated colours of greenery and clear air that surround the architecture of the town, it emulates the start of the spring summer season, and gave a great indication to the end of my studies.
